Port Information Services

The system has been developed by Astra Paging Ltd in 2009 under contract with Ports Infrastructure Co.
Main objectives of the system:
  • Improving of document management and electronic authorization of "Pratique" and "Sailing Permission"
  • Reducing time of document processing
  • Documents standartization according to IMO recommendations (FAL Forms)

SOFTWARE:
  • Control center software
  • Electronic submission of documents by shipping agents
  • Database development and information processing
  • Development of web based system for digital approval of documents by digital certificate
  • Development of an administrator interface and tools

FUNCTIONAL STRUCTURE:
ports-information-service 1. Electronic documents import in ship's arrival and departure:
  • user authentication (agent / dispatcher)
  • web form data submission
  • information validation
  • attachment of auxiliary PDF documents

2. Processing of paper documents:
  • scan and convert documents in PDF format
  • receiving of documents by fax in PDF format

3. Database provides the following data tables:
  • ship visits
  • general forms
  • electronic documents (PDF)
  • access rights
  • system logs
  • auxiliary tables

4. Authorization by the competent authorities using with the following features:
  • review of the forms and documents submitted by the agents/dispatcher
  • issuing permission «Pratique» / «Sailing permission» signed with digital certificate
  • issuing request for additional information/documents
